Falls Management Improvement Project

Here at Harbour View Haven, we track statistics from our resident incident report forms to provide us more information on areas such as behavioural concerns, wandering, injuries, and falls. The purpose of tracking this information is to provide us with insight on areas for improvement that involve resident safety or staff education.


From our 2019-2020 incident report tracking, we have noted a trend for a rising number of unwitnessed falls in the facility. As a result, we have developed a multi-disciplinary team to assess these numbers, discuss concerns and brainstorm solutions. An update in the Quality Report will follow over the next few months.
