Monthly Prayer Submitted By: Linda MacDonald, Volunteer Chaplain
O God we grieve the hatred that hurts our common living with people of all walks in life.
Especially our racism which causes very deep hurt.
We grieve our lack of courage as we tolerate the wrong
Of racist and exclusive language, we simply go along.
We let our fear of the stranger take hold , then are slow to challenge hatred against all God’s children.
We say it is not our issue until it is too late.
O Lord teach us the compassion of Christ for all people
Teach us to be a loving, caring people , a kind community
Casting out our pride and fear that get in the way of Showing love and mercy. Lord have mercy. Amen
