OUR PEOPLE

Harbour View Haven has a proud tradition of being an active part of our community.

Harbour View Haven (HVH) is a non-for-profit, government run facility that is managed by a dedicated team of multidisciplinary professionals and volunteer Board of Directors. Our management team meets regularly to discuss issues related to good governance through the establishment of industry leading policies and procedures. These are reviewed and approved by our community Board of Directors to ensure that we continue to provide great leadership and outstanding services.

OUR STAFF

Harbour View Haven (HVH) is on the largest employers in the Town of Lunenburg. We are pleased to have a competent and professional team that is interested in providing the highest standard in quality care to our residents.

From laundry and dietary staff, to nursing, administration and the therapeutics department; every person who chooses to work at HVH follows our philosophy of resident-centered care by always putting residents at the core of their practice.

We work collectively at HVH to build programs and procedures that meet or exceed industry standards for care. In addition, we are happy to work hard to build an environment where staff can achieve success in their jobs.

If you are interested in sharing your expertise with HVH please reach out, we would love to hear from you!

VOLUNTEERS

Further to our paid staff, we have a growing group of volunteers who dedicate their time to improve the quality of life of our residents. HVH volunteers are an extremely valuable asset to our organization. They help by reinforcing our commitment to providing excellent care and services while linking residents to the community. Volunteers play a key role in helping us remind residents, each and every day, that they are part of a larger community that cares.

If you think you might be interested in offering time to our volunteer efforts, please join us.

OUR BOARD

Harbour View Haven has a dedicated and caring Board of Directors which consists of 9 volunteer members. This engaged group is made up of individuals with diverse experiences and skills that help to enrich the lives of our residents. Members have the opportunity to serve on the executive and participate in a number of committees such as, Ethics, Pastoral Care and the Building and Grounds to name a few.
